Business OS – Reshape the Future of Commerce in The Next Recession.

Before going any further, I can pretty much imagine using "recession" is a controversial topic, but I have a meaning to use it. I can see a bubble in the tech sector and, meanwhile, a stagnation in innovation, especially in automation and cutting time-consuming tasks on the labor side. The first statement strongly refers to Ray Dalio, and the second is Peter Thiel. The question is, Why do we see more and more need for money and workforce after a decade of innovation and significant progress in tech? Why do we pay more for devices like the iPhone13 two times the iPhone3G? Why starting a business so expensive as a decade before? Why do traditional jobs so time-consuming, competitive, and complex with less margin than before?

Although trade has been the earliest interaction among people, today, even the most straightforward and cheapest ways to start a business require at least thousands of dollars! It makes it impossible to access tools for many worldwide in the real world! Yes, it is disappointing! But the tech philosophy is to provide tools, especially in the online world, for anyone, anywhere, and with any budget to do things better than ancestors.

Money is tight; cut the cost!?

Inflation and stagnation consequences are not equal to all businesses, so it's up to you to select a defensive or offensive strategy in your market, but an almost right decision at a recession time is to cut the cost and make a solid positive balance ASAP.

Money is tight; cut the cost now! It's an actual daily message from investors to founders today! 2022.

The Stagnation - Benefit of Extinction and Cycling Bifurcation on Businesses and Lifes

If there were no ups and downs in economic conditions, big companies would always be bigger, and there would never be an opportunity for small companies to grow and dominate new positions. It's a harsh and controversial statement, but the resurrection of Google, Amazon, and Paypal are after the 2000 tech bubble burst, and the start and growth of Uber, Airbnb, and Stripe happened after the 2008 financial crisis.

Shortage effects on the giant creatures in the market

Being big is not always good! 65 million years ago, when the dinosaurs were the kings of the Earth, a meteorite hit the Earth and created a global crisis. The crisis was the same for dinosaurs and emerging mammals. But the effect of this crisis was not the same! The dinosaurs became extinct due to their high energy consumption, and the small mammals dominate the Earth due to their optimal consumption and greater adaptability to the new conditions.

So, embrace the reality and deal with it. (Ray Dalio)

After prosperity for anti-fragile businesses

Giants in the market saturate all distribution channels, like ads, PR, and content, in the market, but when the game changes, businesses need to adapt quickly to new conditions. It is the time for the tools ignored until yesterday that comes to the business owners' attention. It's time that services cost over the risk-of-change for SMEs, and this is precisely when efficiency becomes an advantage for SMEs and service providers.

Swimming between Islands in nowhere space every day

There are over 200 million SMEs without any operating system for their businesses, Working with apps and services like swimming between Islands in nowhere space every day! They need something better than old-fashioned tools. We need more chances for people to thrive.

Trading has been one of the most fundamental human interactions, but access…

Trading has been one of the most fundamental human interactions, but access to trading tools is always challenging and unfair for many people. With the advent of eCommerce platforms, it became possible to trade and access online tools cheaper and faster than before, but there was still a gap in people's accessibility. Thousand dollars to hire an expert to set up an online business and a few hundred dollars for the monthly subscription fee for an ecommerce platform, and other thousands for 3rd party apps and services may not be a big challenge for the people with the highest level of welfare and capital access in a bubbled market era! But, a majority can not afford it, especially after the bubble burst perfectly. Why? Because $200 is greater than the average monthly income of people in large parts of the world such as India, Nigeria, Kenya, Iran, Cameroon, Cambodia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and ...! And saving money and reducing the cost is the priority for businesses in recession.

The solution is back to principles

When all companies go to the niche side of the market and build super-complex full features and costly tools, maybe we can fund the solution by contrarian thoughts and swimming in the opposite direction of the river.

Business OS principles

In the BOS (Business Operating System) model, we keep essential tools, make it easy and remove extra unused features, So SMEs can build their ecommerce business themselves without the need to hire experts.

Business OS is a one-of-a-kind platform; it's completely unique and very different from all the others. It's the all-in-one, no-code commerce platform with enterprise-grade tools for SMEs.

The old approach in ecommerce platforms

In the following chart, you are looking at the market shares of ecommerce platforms in 2021. Many companies compete in the commerce space but almost have no significant impact on the market, except Shopify and WooCommerce. All these platforms follow a similar pattern, 1. Build a raw SaaS platform, 2. Encourage other companies and developers to build applications on it, 3. Train high-level specialists to stop these services together.

But result in the real world for small and medium businesses would…

But result in the real world for small and medium businesses would be something like this:

On the other side, Business OS platforms will game by different rules…

On the other side, Business OS platforms will game by different rules in the brutal field of commerce platforms, especially when ecommerce platforms competitors spend tens and hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising in all channels.

Make things more efficient, more naturally, and more democratic.

A fresh approach, Business OS

The ecommerce platforms in the market are built for experts, but the Business OS approach is completely different.

Till now, I have created a picture of Business OS. But in the next, I will show you why you should be more cautious about the next decade.

Business OS literally is a new kind in the SaaS space.
Business OS literally is a new kind in the SaaS space.

Business OS provides a zero-setup cost solution for any-sized businesses to unlock their inside entrepreneur, especially for fast-growing companies. Business OS's mission and philosophy are to provide access to trading tools for all people of the world with any knowledge, financial ability, and experience. This attitude will cause the growth of SMEs across the globe and can shorten the supply and retail chain complexity.

Rise of the alphas

I believe new businesses have time to rise and dominate new positions in the market, and we can help them by providing a fully functional Business OS.

History of the new cutting-edge business os in the commerce space

Our selling experience in developing countries in West Asia and the Middle East has shown us that complexity is not the only issue in struggling with various ecommerce apps and services! The major obstacles are the high-cost process of setting up and the high subscription fees for these services. Also, there is a need to purchase several apps and sometimes hire an expert to configure and deal with the complexities of these services.

Business OS provides a complete sales service, including sales channels, order processing, delivery system, POS, payment, dropshipping, page builder, email marketing tools, and everything a merchant needs to overcome the difficulties in the journey from traditional business model to new fully functional and seamless online business.

Roadmap to a wide-accepted business OS

We decomposed an ecommerce platform to its most possible elementary parts. If you want to build the cheapest spacecraft, like SpaceX, first decompose it into essential components such as metals, carbon fiber, etc. What you get is probably less than 5% of the cost of the final ready-in-market rockets! In our journey, we eliminated the cost of programmers, marketing, ads, and the cost of licensing 3rd party services. That means we knew precisely how a complex commerce chain works, and we had a genius team to design and build an operating system to satisfy fundamental needs. We knew that we could make cost-reduction by 95%, but we had to make everything from scratch, from page builder to CMS, editors, tax calculator, shipping automation, and more ...! The result is a business operating system, simple, hassle-free human-based trading tools and fittable the spirit of each brand.

Difference between Business OS and Ecommerce platforms

No-code, no-template BOS approach vs. coding, template ecommerce platforms approach

We made many changes in the service design, but our most significant change was: we removed the whole old fashion ecommerce-building-pathway of creating and choosing the template from the system! We did not reduce it! We did not change it! We eradicated it!

Flexible Core Based on fully API-friendly BOS vs. limited API-based ecommerce platforms

The next fundamental attitude is that the system had to be 100% API-based, so developers could easily do anything with it in all layers.

Comprehensive connected BOS experience vs. discrete ecommerce experience

The next important thing in Business OS's DNA was that a salesperson could have all the tools needed to sell up to $ 100,000/month without buying and installing any apps or plugins in their online store.

Business OS Intuitive-modern UI vs. ecommerce platforms traditional nested menus UI

The last significant change is that UI should have the fewest nested menus in an all-in-one business OS platform. That means every dashboard point had to be accessible through one simple modern menu! When we got to this point and introduced the demo to the Instagram sellers, we knew, Boom! Everyone fell in love with it!

Business OS payment vs. ecommerce platform payment intermediation

Impact of BOS on the big scale

Impact of BOS on the big scale

From our previous experiences, we knew that we needed two things: 1- it would take time to reach a product-market fit. 2- the competition in this field is bloody, and the cost of advertising is very high! Our competitors are wealthy, and we can't enter the same advertising channels and market side.

Best ecommerce platforms vs. Web platforms vs. Business operating systems

Business OS playground, rules, and value proposition are "Zero setup cost to turn ideas into a successful online business" by creating and offering a lovely product that anyone with any knowledge and any budget can have a beautiful online business with professional sales and marketing tools. Also, our main competitor is not Shopify, Mopify, or Hopify! Literally, our main competitor is the traditional sales mindset, with the lack of tech knowledge and has resistance to spending setup costs.

AI business OS

One of the most critical pillars of a business operating system is the widespread and profound use of AI to coordinate all parts while keeping the final cost low.

Ecommerce OS In Metaverse

Future businesses and brands in Metaverse will have a different approach to what they had in the past, but Metaverse will act as a channel for businesses to promote and sell their products and services. It is possible now to build platforms to unlock future business offices and storefronts in Metaverse by game engines such as Unity, but the problem is that a store needs order management, fulfillment, transactions, and shipping management infrastructure.

All of this works for independent developers like inventing and building wheels from scratch!! In addition, there is no specific structure for implementing these services in Metaverse. We need to create an open-source interface to enable businesses in Metaverse to connect to external services. So, Business OS plays a significant role in the future of Metaverse.

How do we create an open-source ecommerce SDK for Metaverse?

For example, you order a pizza in a Metaverse store, where part of the ordering and payment process takes place in Metaverse by your unified Business OS.

Business OS affects the in-person sales experience

Have you ever seen business models doomed to failure? Businesses are evolving, and traditional market segments continue to resist! It often does not seem fair the try to profit ratio in these businesses, but do you think the result depends only on the effort or initial capital? Let me answer first! No! The right decisions and the courage to do it play an important role in businesses' success or failure, especially in a competitive market like retails.

The money and workforce may have been the #1 advantage until the…

The money and workforce may have been the #1 advantage until the late 20th century, but today, thanks to digital transformation, competitive advantage is not limited to capital and effort! Undoubtedly, one of the events that have strengthened this approach in the global trading market has been the emergence of online platforms that provide unfair advantages to their early adopters. For example, Amazon Cloud Service charges the cost of setting up hardware, software, and server support for any company that uses its services unfairly compared to their competitors that follow the traditional server setup model. You will not need to spend substantial initial costs to set up a site that can serve millions of other customers. The considerable cost, time, and expertise spent on building and maintaining a platform are divided among many users, making it impossible for small and medium-sized companies to compete in creating such a quality level.

Selldone is on the mission to provide Biusiness OS advantage for SMEs as a service. This feature is designed for local stores that have physical branches.

Selldone POS, as a part of Business OS, works seamlessly with online…

Selldone POS, as a part of Business OS, works seamlessly with online stores and other sales channels such as Instagram, Facebook, marketplaces, etc. The seller will only need a tablet (or a computer) and a barcode scanner (it can be a smartphone, which connects wirelessly to the Internet)! By scanning the barcode, the product will be added to the cart list, and the buyer will be able to pay the receipt by cash or online via the payment QR code.

The difference between the Selldone POS and other POSs is that all the devices you need are just a tablet! All different types of equipment will be connected to the Internet directly, so there are no limits on the hardware and operating system (such as barcode scanners, printers, tag readers, and customer screens). We publish all code and hardware designs as open-source projects on Github. It is also possible to convert any iOS and Android camera phone to a barcode scanner at no cost!
